Yes, In APA you would put a (Author Writing Year) and MLA would have (Author, Page #) and it is still HUGELY IMPORTANT to cite your sources. It is a sign of respect to the author and gives you more credibility. And if you think about it, you might write something that someone else will someday cite and you want them to give you credit, so do the same for them.
