How should I deal?

I know these type of questions are asked practically all the time on here, but I figured I would go ahead and ask it anyway. I am a very attractive 29 year old, however, I am overweight. I know guys don't like "fat" girls, but it is starting to really take a toll on me. I met a guy who works where I work and we really have a lot in common and seem to get along well. I made it known to him that I was interested but he said his boss told him that he is not allowed to get involved with the people in the area he works. Come to find out, he is interested in another, less attractive girl, but she has a "rockin'" body. They also don't seem to have as much in common or get along as well as we do. How can I get over this without continually getting my feelings hurt? I hate that I am so overweight, but my gosh, why is it such a BIG DEAL????
